Railway Station
Auf meiner MGB Anlage sind 4 Stationen vorgesehen, Visp, Stalden-Saas, Randa und Zermatt. Leider gibt es nur die Station St. Niklaus, die ich nicht auf meiner Anlage darstelle, als Modell. Aus diesem Grund muss ich auf Eigebau zurück greifen.
Ich entschied mich für Stalden-Saas als erster Nachbau, da dieser Bahnhof bis heute noch gleich aussieht, wie in 2004, in der Zeit in welcher meine Anlage angesiedelt ist.
Als Ausgangspunkt für mein Projekt war die Zeichnung des Bahnhofes im Ursprungszustand, welche ich in der Publikation "Brig-Visp-Zermatt Geschichte und Rollmaterial" von Theo Stolz und Dieter Schopfer gefunden habe.
On my MGB layout, I will have 4 stations, Vips, Stalden-Saas, Randa and Zermatt. Unfortunately only the Station St. Niklaus, a Station I will not have on my layout, is a available as a Model. There was only one way to get those buildings, scratch build it.
For my first station I decided to build Stalden-Saas, since the Station looks that same today as in 2004, in which time my layout is placed.
As a starting point of my project, I used the drawing of the station at the time of building, which can be found in the publication "Brig-Visp-Zermatt Geschichte und Rolllmaterial" von Theo Stolz und Dieter Schopfer
Mit dieser Zeichnung und hunderten von Bilder des Stationsgebäude zeichnete ich im Computer das Gebäude in der heutigen From nach. Auf Fotokarton wurde dann alle Seiten ausgedruckt und zusammengeklebt.
With this drawing and hundreds of pictures of the station, I re-drew the building in the computer as it appears today. I printed all sides of the building on cardstock and glued them together.
In der Zwischenzeit hatte ich mir eine Lasergerät gekauft und mit Karton gute Erfolge im Häuser-Modellbau gemacht. Als Material verwende ich Taskboard, Karton und Fotokarton.
In the meantime I bought a laser cutter and had great sucess using cardboard for model buildings. I used Taskboard, cardboard and cardstock.
Die ersten Versuche die verschiedenen Ebenen des Fasaden des Stationsgebäude herzustellen verliefen sehr vielversprechend.
The first tries to reproduce the different parts of the facade of the buildings were promising.
Nach einem halben Jahr hatte ich alle Teile gezeichnet, graviert, geschnitten und zusammengeklebt. Einige Teile müssen noch etwas angepasst werden, aber dies ist kein Problem, da ich das Modell so viele Male in meinem Laser auschneiden kann, bis alles passt.
After 6 months, all parts were drawn, engraved, cut and glued. Some parts still needs some adjustments put with a laser cutter it does not matter how many times I have to cut it out until it fits.
Nun braucht es nur noch etwas Farbe und Kleinteile und das Modell ist fertig zum Einbau.
With some color and detail parts, the model is ready to be place on the future layout.
Das nächste Modell ist der alte Bahnhof Visp. Das Fotokartonmodell ist bereits erstellt.
The next model is the old station of Visp. The cardstock model is already done.
